A weekend in Wellington

Another city with no Christmas decorations...boy I hope Adelaide does better than this! Anyhoo, Steve has been away for work on and off for the past three weeks, so I hopped down to Wellington last weekend to see him.

If Adalaide is anything like Sydney- there won't be many decorations there either. I'm currently home for Christmas sitting in my living room staring at my Christmas tree all lit up and smelling the burning candles. I'm also wrapped up in a blanket because of the chill in the air. It FINALLY feels like Christmas!

I think the Te Papa museum in Wellington is my favorite museum in all the world. Seriously. Love it! I'm really keen on Wellington in general - the funky coffee shops, restaurants, the poems and quotes in concrete blocks dotted all around the city, especially down by the harbor. I have friends (from the UK) who work at the uni. The view from their place is incredible!

I'm curious, have you seen the Auckland Museum? I was so very unimpressed by the Te Papa, after having been so keen to see it.
